This year, our school is looking better than ever! As we all know, when we came back to school this year, there were some exciting new improvements. If you haven’t been here to visit the school lately, please stop by to see our beautiful, new and improved facilities. We have a newly remodeled science wing, a new baseball field, and have even added a new parking lot that is approximately 32,000sqft. The lot will be used for daily parking of teachers, students, and staff, and will also provide much needed space for sports events at the gym, tennis courts, and football field.
Everybody agrees that the new science wing looks great! The classrooms look bigger and each have their own lab. The cabinets and sink areas look very professional. It looks like a completely new building. It is obvious that the science teachers enjoy their new classrooms, and the students also like the new change.
The baseball field also looks fantastic. All the students can look forward to going to both baseball and softball games now that both fields are located right here at the school. This spring the fields will be full of players and parents enjoying hometown games thanks to a lot hard work from many people who were working on these projects.
Last year, many improvements were made to the buildings on campus, and now this year things have just gotten even better. The school looks fantastic. Thank you to all who made this possible. Please come tour our campus if you haven't had a chance to yet. We will be happy to have you!
Welcome Aboard!

Welcome back to Sabinal High School! I hope everyone had a good summer; now it’s time for a new fresh year of teaching and learning. On the first day of school (Aug. 22, 2011) we had an assembly at the gym. Mrs. Johnston called the seniors of 2011 to the floor to be recognized for being an exemplary class based on their TAKS scores. They were the highest TAKS scorers ever. As they came down from the bleachers and stood in front of the crowd, the student body stood up and applauded them for their hard work. The Sabinal High School is proud of them. They are great group of kids who are not only smart in academics and school but in everything they do. Once these seniors graduate, they are going to go places in life because they have what it takes!
After walking into our beautiful school, we noticed how hard our staff members have been working over the summer. Thanks to all of our custodial and maintenence crew, we can enjoy our new science wing that has a lot of space for the students to work and do their experiments. On the first day of school I walked through the gym doors and noticed the new lettering and it looks great too. Don’t forget the parking lot which we see is coming along well. Now the students can park closer to the school. Thank you staff members for everything!
Not only do we have new adjustments to our school we have new teachers and staff members as well. We have Jordan Rehak and Aaron Thomas as our new coaches and math teachers. Our new band director is Zachary Sims and the band seems to be making a lot of progress. They sounded great at our first day assembly. Mrs. Stephanie Keller is the new secretary, and her husband Mr. Jason Keller is the new athletic director.
The school is improving more and more with every passing year. It’s great to be welcomed back into this school where there are many opportunities and great outstanding staff and students! Have a wonderful year!
